The HTC touch featured the Touchflow technology which at the time of its release was similar to the iPhone. This boosted it sales as they were the only company other than Apple that could recognize the difference between a phone stylus and the users fingers.
Over time HTC was released updates that allow their users to update phone to the new Windows Mobile 6. These updates were available from the companies website a few years ago. This has now been removed as newer models like the Touch Pro 2 and HD 2 already come with updated operating systems.
