The new HTC Sensation XE has now been released on O2 deals in the UK, this upgraded version of the HTC Sensation packs in the manufacturers latest acquisition; Beats Audio, as well as many more improvements to what was already a very good handset.
HTC Sensation deals on O2 join those previously released on Vodafone and Orange and now offer this brand new Android phone free of charge from just £21.50 line rental per month, in comparison, a free phone will set the consumer back £26 on Orange and Vodafone's cheapest deal for a free phone currently costs £31 per month.
So what do you get for your money?
Firstly the tariff, the £21.50 tariff from O2 includes 100 minutes of calls top use at any time to call any network, 500 text messages and 500MB of internet access to use every month, this is a 24 month contract deal and beats the nearest competing retailer by a whopping £80.
Secondly, the new HTC Sensation XE. A very worthy upgrade to the Sensation which is still selling well in the UK, it boasts a faster dual core processor at an industry leading 1.5GHz and a bigger battery that many will welcome with the power-hungry Android system which is the very latest 2.3.4 version.
The overall dimensions and looks of the phone have changed little from the winning combination of the previous model, however there are some new red accents discretely placed around the exterior of the phone to tell it apart.
This means that the HTC Sensation XE boasts the same, high quality, 8 mega pixel camera supporting full 1080p HD video recording, that large 4.3 inch SLCD touch screen display, a secondary camera on the front of the phone for facilitating video calling and an FM radio with a 3.5mm audio jack to accommodate standard headphones.
The new Beats Audio software further enhances the listening experience via both the headphones and external speakers with a higher quality and deeper sound than many phones currently available.
Also on board is Wi-Fi connectivity along with GPS, Bluetooth and fast 3.5G support for internet access and downloading of new applications from the Android Market which now boasts over 200,000 available.
Further deals are expected to be released for the HTC Sensation XE from T-Mobile and 3 Mobile over the coming days which should make the existing deals even more competitive as the retailer vie for the cheapest deals.
