unlocked windows phone

The LG Optimus 2X has been hyped for its pioneering technology but the hype has been truly justified with its supersonic performance speeds and mobile browsing rates. This mobile has completely re-defined crucial functionality of smart phones and at the release the phone has seen immense popularity followed by rushed sales. However, there are cheap mobile deals that also offer this mobile as a part of a contract deal where the mobile is sold along with a service provider of a particular network. Since the nature of the deals is the combined offer of contract mobile phones integrated with a specific network provider SIM, the phones are generally locked. This is why, even though your phone as GSM functionality it fails to work in different wireless networks.

This is the reason why many people opt to unlock LG Optimus 2X. With advanced technologies at hand unlocking this phone has become fairly simple and fast. All you need to do is choose a genuine unlock code provider and get the code from them to get your phone unlocked. Although some service providers ask to send your phone or sell your special equipments to do so the most inexpensive, cheap and easy way is to get the unlock code from the code provider and the rest is managed by them. In a few minutes your phone is soon unlocked. However, you must also be cautioned of fraudulent code providers on the internet and should stay away from them since the codes they provide might get your phone hard locked and you may end up paying extra in getting that repaired.
Unlock LG Optimus 2X with renowned and popular unlock code providers. By doing so you could rest assured to receive authorized unlock codes for your mobile handset. Following are the reasons why you should get your LG Optimus 2X unlocked:
- Unlocking the phone allows the user to use services of multiple network providers. So when you get the phone at cheap rates or for free through contract mobile phone deals but would like to retain your previous mobile number you could safely use that SIM in the phone and enjoy your favorite phone with your favorite service provider.
- Avoid roaming charges: If you are someone who travels a lot you essentially need to unlock LG Optimus 2X that you own in order to be able to switch networks in foreign land. This would subsidize your call rates to a great extent.
- Unlocking the phone with a good provider can guarantee a permanent unlocked phone so this makes it a onetime investment and favors you until the time you decide to sell off your phone.
- The resale value of an unlocked phone is high.
- Getting your phone unlocked on your own with the unlock LG Optimus 2X codes provided to you ensures that you do not run the risk of damaging your phone by mailing the phone to a third party.
- You do not require technical experience for unlocking your phone.
- You can reap lucrative benefits from different service providers in the form of offers of various kinds by getting your phone unlocked.
Unlock LG Optimus 2X to make optimum use of your mobile phone. This allows flexibility of the highest caliber and saves you a lot of time and money. The author has written many articles on topics related to unlocking phones.

the new windows phone

In 2010, HTC released a number of Windows Phone 7 operated devices. But, in 2011, tactics adopted by the company have been somewhat altered. Kicking off the updates for the new Windows Phone 7 Mango, the company plans to launch only two smartphones in its ever expanding range, which comprises its HTC Radar and the HTC Titan.
The HTC Radar is expressly designed as a replacement for the company's HTC 7 Trophy and HTC 7 Mozart. In doing this however, the company has introduced several ingenious features, while simultaneously offering a somewhat middle-range point of entry into the mainstream arena that is occupied by the Windows Phone 7 world. Those style conscious smartphone users out there are sure to love the HTC Radar. Features wise, the HTC Titan is sure to be the order of the day, however this does not mean that the HTC Radar sacrifices style for substance.

As a cameraphone, it is a competent device. Its 5 megapixel unit is on hand to take high quality still images, as well as 720p HD video footage at a rate of 30 frames per second.
With its actual measurements of 120mm height, 61.5mm width, and 10.8mm thickness, the HTC Radar can hardly be called the flattest, the thinnest, or for that matter the most attractive smartphone on the market today, although with its silver and white finish, its design somewhat reflects the tablet by the company, the HTC Flyer.
As Windows Phone powered devices go, this is certainly one of the most advanced. From the high resolution S-LCD capacitive touchscreen, to its superfast download speeds of 14.4 Mbps, it has all the tools to make it ideal for both work and play. It may not have the credentials to take on many high end Android or iOS powered handsets, but for those who are already fans of the operating system, it is certainly worth a closer look and incorporates a number of desirable features which until now have not been seen on a Windows Phone 7 device.
With white plastic to facilitate its antenna and a metal finish to its case, the HTC Radar design displays inner strengths and an all purpose functional stability. A slip-off cover slides to expose the SIM slot and battery. The renowned HTC build quality matched with the impressive interface provided by the Microsoft software offers a unique smartphone experience. If you are looking for an alternative to the abundant iPhone and Android devices which are currently flooding the market, and a stylish one to boot, the HTC Radar is a great choice.

new windows phone

The HTC Radar is one of the first HTC devices to run the new Windows Phone 7.5 (aka Mango) operating system. In this article I will take a closer look at the key features of the handset, so you can decide if it is the right smartphone for you.

The HTC Radar is quite a good looking handset, and is available in white and silver colour schemes. It measures up at 120.5x 61.5x 10.9mm, so it is pretty average in terms of its size, but rather slim. The front is dominated by a 3.8 inch S-LCD capacitive touchscreen, which offers a decent resolution of 480x 800. The screen does a good job of producing bright and clear images, with up to 16 million displayable colours, making the a good choice for those who enjoy multimedia use on their smartphone. The screen is made from Gorilla glass, which is proven to be more durable than standard smartphone screens, meaning it can withstand the occasional drop onto a hard surface.
The spec list of the HTC Radar reads largely as one would expect from any newly released smartphone; it has 8 GB of internal storage, fast internet browsing by virtue of Wi-Fi and 3G, and a 5 megapixels camera. The camera comes with an LED flash and shoots video in 720p HD. Also, a 1 GHz processor is provided, and although many other new smartphones are including dual-core processors in their handsets, they are not supported by Windows Phone handsets currently (as the extra battery use does not outweigh its performance benefits, according to Microsoft). The 1 GHz chip is powerful enough to provide great performance though, in terms of touchscreen responsiveness, and multitasking even demanding applications.
The new version of Windows Phone, version 7.5 aka Mango is the operating system of choice. It sets the HTC Radar apart from the many iOS and Android operated devices which are currently flooding the market. The OS itself is easy to use, and well presented; two rows of tiles provide the shortcuts for the most used applications (these are customisable), with all available apps viewable simply by swiping your finger across the screen.
The HTC Radar is likely to appeal to those looking for a stylish and functional alternative to the mainstream handsets which are currently proving so popular. With the added bonus of a solid operating system which is gaining in popularity, you can expect to see a lot more of the HTC Radar in the near future.

Nokia has been a top-notch mobile phone manufacturer that has successfully wooed the mobile lovers with incredible handsets. The most appealing factor that has made the Nokia fans to go gaga over Lumia 800 is its operating system. This is the first move taken by Nokia, to dump Symbian and make the Lumia to run on Windows Phone 7.5, the latest Mango version. The Nokia Lumia 800 review spells out that Nokia has taken the giant leap of rolling out in the market the Lumia powered by the Mango, to appease the mobile lovers.

It is indeed a bold step taken by Nokia to make Lumia 800 to run on the latest version of Microsoft Windows Phone software, which actively supports multi-tasking. The home screen dynamically displays a wide range of information like the messaging and the mail tiles blurting out the unread messages and mails, that you need to check. The users can pin their choicest applications, snaps, contacts on the home screen to use it as short cuts. The new operating is fun, and the users can enjoy a number of applications. The Nokia Lumia 800 review also reveals how the mobile enthusiasts can enjoy free music streaming via the Mix Radio. The onboard navigation software is quite commendable.
In terms of design, the Lumia is eye-catching and robustly built. The display offers captivating view as the 3.7 inches AMOLED capacitive touchscreen of the smartphone with Gorilla Glass display and Nokia ClearBlack display paves the way for it. The camera of a mobile phone has been a scoring point. Though the Lumia incorporates 8MP camera, the front-facing camera is missing, depriving the users of the facility to engage in video conferencing in Skype or make video calls. However, the Carl Zeiss Tessar lens is commendable in making the Lumia to capture top-quality snaps in low light condition.
The avid mobile lovers can read a HTC Radar review and find out that HTC, its biggest competitor has armed the Radar with a secondary camera. The new smartphone from the stable of the big brand HTC is impressive with its look and performance. With the aid of the Widows Phone 7.5 OS, the Radar is power-packed with good features. windows phone ringtones

Your cell phone .... it has been around for quite sometime and it is there to stay. There are many features that would seem impossible to generations of past but what we now actually enjoy. What are these special features? It could be that your cell phone is equipped with a video camera with 3.0 megapixels, or it could be the built-in Windows 5.0. Or it could simply be, your cell phone ring tones.
Cell phone ring tones history all began with the Nokia tune that was originally composed by Francisco Tarrega, a musician from Spain. It was then called the Gran Vals. Cell phone ring tones were originally monophonic. This means that only one note is being played at a given time.

There were, and there still are, ring tones that come with the phone as you purchase it. The earlier reproductions of cellular phones had composers that were built-in with the models. This was not something that the market really appreciated. It soon became a big flop.
In the year 2002, a major breakthrough in cell phone ring tone history took place. Nokia developed a phone that could play ringtones. The Nokia 3510 was the first cell phone that was introduced to have done that.
By 2003, more and more cell phone companies adopted the use of polytones. With this came further development such as the Groovetunes by Motorola and the True Tones by Nokia. Web sites soon began to offer cell phone ring tones that featured the voices of singers with their hit songs.
Nowadays, downloading a cell phone ring tone is as easy as accessing a web site and choosing from an array of songs. With the use of the Bluetooth technology, you can now download songs from your personal computer to your phone. Easy and amazing!
And since we are talking about cell phone ring tones, why, it's impossible to miss mentioning the famous 'Mosquito ring tone'. This, if you do not already know, is the ring tone that can't be heard by the regular adult. A teenager can actually receive a text message without the adult ever knowing that a message arrived. And no, this is not a technology that uses vibrating batteries or any vibra features. It is an audible tone, but again, only the young can hear it. Here's why:
The Mosquito ring tone became a big hit among teenagers because of the ban on cell phone usage during school hours. It was not originally created for teenagers to use by its inventor, Howard Stapleton. In fact, it's the opposite. It was created to ward off youngsters and keep them from loitering in front of stores.
The teenagers, as ingenious as they usually are, used this to their advantage. The tone was copied and was made into a cell phone ring tone. And since cell phones aren't supposed to be used at school, most teenagers keep track of their messages right under the noses of their teachers, thanks to the mosquito ring tone.
The science behind this amazing ring tone is the natural tendency of humans to become less capable of hearing sounds as they age. This is known as presbycusis (also known as aging ear). Since the mosquito ring tone comes in with 17 kilohertz, most adults are unable to hear it, more so with people who are beyond 40 or 50 years.
Imagine this. The highest note on a piano is at 4 kilohertz. Everyone, as long as they can hear, is able to hear the highest note on a piano. 50-59 year old adults can no longer hear sounds beyond 11 kilohertz. For the age group 40-49 years old, they are unable to hear beyond 12 kilohertz. For 30-39 year olds, they can't hear beyond the level of 14 kilohertz. Now, the teenagers from 18-24 are better able to hear sounds because they can hear sounds that are as high as 16 kilohertz and beyond!
Cell phone ring tones are here to stay. They show your personality, they show your style. But no matter what, the basic use of ring tones is still to get your attention when a call or text message arrives. Whether you would show simplicity or eccentricity in getting your attention, would be up to you.

windows mobile 5.0

It's possible that advances in the Windows Mobile OS are somewhat dependent on the gaming community.
We certainly have a few innovations that warrant a robust, stable OS capable of high-level API coding to partake of the best of the Pocket PC gaming realm.
The desktop PC owes a debt of gratitude to gamers. Unless, of course, you think that the user base was doing nothing else but playing with their MS Office apps on a routine basis.

The large drive towards hardware and processing power innovation is driven by folks largely like myself.
Video card manufacturers like ATI and nVidia have been posting record sales of high-end 3D hardware acceleration cards for years, with desktop PC gamers more than willing to pony up over $600 CDN on the next massively multipipelined hardware behemoth.
The Windows Mobile world can hardly be called a parallel gaming universe.

A lot of frustration has been thrown Microsoft's way, largely because of recent developments. The hx4700 is a case in point.
Hewlett Packard's only VGA display handheld was hampered by a revelation: no Windows Mobile 5.0 upgrade could be issued for this device until the following spring.
You'll find more details on the Brighthand.com site regarding this upgrade insight.
Problem is, the mettle of the hardcore Pocket PC game community is lacking. A recent poll off of the IPaqHQ forum site revealed that only just over five percent have opted for a Pocket PC with Windows Mobile 5.

The greater majority is still on WM 2003 Second Edition. The Pocket PC game community has spoken, and by and large they are satisfied with the game power harnessed by devices utilizing this brand of operating system.
The Windows Mobile Team Blog entry was an epiphany of sorts. Mike Calligaro's Windows Mobile article blog spoke to issues concerning disparaging Micro$oft detractors who insist on transposing those dollar signs in the middle of the company name.
His formula is as follows:
(Total cost of doing the upgrade) / (number of people who will use it) = (unreasonable price)
In essence, he attributes our PDA gaming community upgrade woes to diseconomies of scale, not greed.
I agree with Mike's view because the dearth of hardware accelerated Pocket PC games speaks volumes.
The newer accelerated titles like GeoRally EX are less prevalent than new software rendered 3D titles like FFRace - Fast Future Race.
Even more revealing the former is targeted once again towards Axim x50v owners. If that in itself doesn't reek of a lack of PDA hardware compliancy, I don't know what does.
I've dubbed this the PlayStation 2 syndrome: just like the popular gaming console, Pocket PC game developers are catching on to making the most of the programming libraries at hand and producing top-notch games that can be used from Pocket PC 2002 onwards.
With such a broad compatibility demographic, I've already seen it; Pocket PC game production is issuing better games for common operating systems and is possible nearing its zenith for quality.
If things continue like this it will certainly put a crimp on our future Windows Mobile upgrades.

activesync windows 7

As the software developer of Outlook, the most popular desktop mail client and general information manager, it is only natural that Microsoft - and of course, Windows, by definition - should focus on the email experience found in their line of mobile phones.
The Windows Phone email supports most of the syncing capabilities of ActiveSync. Both the 6.1 and 6.5 versions of the Windows Phone - Microsoft's past contributions to the booming smartphone industry - host a number of Exchange ActiveSync functions from past to present versions of the synchronization platform.
Microsoft's newest brainchild, however - the Windows Phone 7 - does away with half, if not most, of the features in later ActiveSync versions. Still, it seems that its email functionality is well on the right track. Better yet, it holds its own against other smartphones and handheld wireless devices that have dominated the market for the past year.
It might lack of some more comprehensive ActiveSync features, but the Windows Phone 7 nonetheless supports Exchange ActiveSync 14.0. All the vital functions and necessities for Exchange email are intact. There are features like DirectPush, email, calendar, and contacts sync, remote wipe, desktop and Internet sharing, Global Address List (GAL) lookup, and secure SSL encrypted transmission.
The Windows Phone email client is a powerful tool that allows users to sync to an email account or another client altogether. More importantly, it allows for managing multiple items seamlessly. The interface offers a pristine list-type display of received items that feature the sender's name and subject prominently, and with the time affixed to the right of each entry. Tapping to the left of this list reveals a checkbox for selecting individual and multiple items all at once. Tapping the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen brings up a menu where selected items can be marked as read or unread, flagged or unflagged, moved, completed, and of course, deleted.
There are also multiple options to view messages. From the default view, users can slide the display to the right to get a list of only unread messages. Sliding to the right again brings up flagged messages. A third time brings up urgent messages, while sliding again from this view brings the display back to the default email list.
Composing an email is just as easy as reading or managing one. Pressing the compose key on the menu calls up the email editor that allows for setting the priority and the cc's and bcc's of an email - options which are not readily available on other smartphones, even when they're running on Exchange email clients as well. Users can also attach a photo from their phone gallery to the outgoing message.
As the latest smartphone to hit the market, and with both hardware and software that are still in their beta stages, this kind of comprehensive email capability is quite an accomplishment for this brand new Windows phone.

A Better Windows Mobile

On April 2, 2008 Microsoft unveiled its latest update for the Windows Mobile operating system. With this update - Windows Mobile 6.1 - Microsoft aims to improve upon one of the areas where Microsoft falls behind top competitors RIM's BlackBerry OS, Symbian, and the iPhone OS, namely: user-friendliness. And with such neck-and-neck competition between all the mobile OS makers, Microsoft (who's currently only unequivocally topping Palm's mobile OS) needs to do everything in its power to keep its mobile customers happy and woo the rest of the mobile community their way.

Simplification was paramount in designing Windows Mobile 6.1, with less cluttered, more task oriented screens, modeled after the successful Windows Media Centre. Among the improvements are:
  • more readable font;
  • threading of SMS and email messages (much like on the iPhone), instead of displaying them all on a single screen;
  • cut-and-paste on non-touch screen smartphones (on Windows Mobile smartphones with touch screens, cut-and-paste already works);
  • new Vista-like interface for the Home screen that uses horizontal tiles which expand when clicked to reveal more detailed information;
  • a dedicated task manager that displays CPU usage listed by process and overall as a whole;
  • ability to change the Master Security Code;
  • Recent Programs displayed when the Start menu is pressed;
  • a total re-haul of the system's web browser, with a display that looks more like Internet Explorer or other PC web browsers, with the entire web page able to be viewed on a single screen or in segments by zooming in to user-selected areas;
  • auto-complete of email addresses entered into the "To:" field;
  • ActiveSync Exchange email auto-configuring;
  • Wi-Fi status indicator.
Business users will also enjoy the ability to enroll a domain in Settings, allowing for mobile access to various company resources.
On the downside, Windows Mobile 6.1 (like its predecessor) can only be used with a keyboard or a stylus - even the Windows Mobile touch screen phones. Microsoft still hasn't made it so that people can use their mobile OS by simply touching their screens with fingers alone (even though Apple seems already to have mastered it).
Current users of certain Windows Mobile 6 smartphones - like the AT&T Tilt and the HTC Mogul - will be able to upgrade their mobile OS to Windows Mobile 6.1. One of the first new smartphones already bundled with Windows Mobile 6.1 is the WiFi-enabled Motorola Q9.
Devices running on Windows Mobile 6.1 are scheduled to start shipping in May.

What Are the User Benefits in the Latest Windows Mobile 6.1 Release?

Microsoft have recently released Windows Mobile 6.1 (WM6.1), the operating system (OS) is seen as a minor upgrade to the previous Windows Mobile 6.0 platform, but what are the user benefits...
The main aesthetic update is regarding the home screen, providing the ability to navigate via horizontal tiles that can be expanded when selected to deliver further information to the user. In addition the home screen provides the user with information panels allowing the user to quickly view up to date instant information such as missed calls, upcoming appointments and new messages, plus accessing music and photo sharing.

A benefit perhaps geared towards the consumer rather than business market is the threaded SMS function, this provides the ability to link or merge messages from a recipient. This is similar to a chat or Windows Live Messenger function we may well be used to, this eliminates the need to open and close previous messages when composing and replying to contacts. Depending on your business model this may have a benefit but I would expect this to be particularly beneficial to consumers and or social device users, never the less an area that is likely to grow as Windows Mobile expands into the consumer marketplace.
An updated version of Internet Explorer Mobile provides users with higher quality web browsing via iPhone-like pan and zoom functionality; this will make for an improved user experience.
I would suggest less a benefit more a status enhancement, users familiar with receiving and sending emails from BlackBerry (RIM) devices will recognise the automatic insertion of a signature quoting:
"Sent from my BlackBerry wireless email device" (or similar), Windows Mobile 6.1 adopts a "Sent from my Windows Mobile phone". From a manufacturer, sales or company perspective I view this as a good inclusion, it spreads the brand and demonstrates to the recipient that you are using the latest technology, i.e. moving with the times...
