LG Optimus 2X Enjoys Full Freedom After Unlocking

Mobile phones have become integral parts of our lives and there is no denying that the trend of using mobile phones for almost everything is not going to fade anywhere in the near future. Futuristic phones are being developed by the minute and one such development is the LG Optimus 2X. It is ideally the next generation phone created by the reputed mobile company LG. This phone sports a dual-core processor that is first of its kind in the market. Thus this alone makes the phone highly desirable and in demand. The phone was launched this new year and technology savvy individuals are already hunting for this phone from various dealers.

While not all may know this, but our mobile phones are sometimes locked in order to limit certain features. This includes phones that are obtained as a part of phone contract deals wherein each phone is integrated with a particular network provider and sold on contract basis for a particular period of time. The LG Optimus 2X is also available as a part of these deals. The fact that we get top notch phones at sloshed down rates or at no extra cost through the business agenda of selling the hugely in-demand phones as a part of a contract deal, limits the use of the phone to the fullest. Thus, the dealers seem to lock your phone so that you do not have access to any other networks or certain mobile services.

To unlock LG Optimus 2X you need an unlock code. This is by far the easiest, fastest and cheapest way to get your super smart phone unlocked. Other methods available are to talk to the service operator, or send the phone to some expert in unlocking the phones or purchase special equipments or tools for doing the same. Obtaining unlock codes for your LG Optimus 2X from reliable offline or online vendors would help you accomplish the task in a few minutes. Most of these operators online claim to have all the unlock codes and if by chance they don't have them, they would gladly refund your money.

When you unlock LG Optimus 2X you enjoy many benefits. One of the main benefits being to be able to access multiple networks thanks to your phone's GSM connectivity. This will help you choose the network provider of your choice and avail lucrative offers from them or simply help you reduce your roaming bills when you are on the move in different parts of the world. Since the LG Optimus has the Android OS and as you know Android phones can avail of thousands of free apps, when you unlock LG Optimus 2X you gain access to all the apps available to you. Thus do intense research on the vendors who agree to provide unlock codes and get your phone's power unleashed to its maximum.

Unlock LG Optimus 2X to make optimum use of your mobile phone. This allows flexibility of the highest caliber and saves you a lot of time and money. The author has written many articles on topics related to unlocking phones.

A Better Windows Mobile

On April 2, 2008 Microsoft unveiled its latest update for the Windows Mobile operating system. With this update - Windows Mobile 6.1 - Microsoft aims to improve upon one of the areas where Microsoft falls behind top competitors RIM's BlackBerry OS, Symbian, and the iPhone OS, namely: user-friendliness. And with such neck-and-neck competition between all the mobile OS makers, Microsoft (who's currently only unequivocally topping Palm's mobile OS) needs to do everything in its power to keep its mobile customers happy and woo the rest of the mobile community their way.

Simplification was paramount in designing Windows Mobile 6.1, with less cluttered, more task oriented screens, modeled after the successful Windows Media Centre. Among the improvements are:

• more readable font;
• threading of SMS and email messages (much like on the iPhone), instead of displaying them all on a single screen;
• cut-and-paste on non-touch screen smartphones (on Windows Mobile smartphones with touch screens, cut-and-paste already works);
• new Vista-like interface for the Home screen that uses horizontal tiles which expand when clicked to reveal more detailed information;
• a dedicated task manager that displays CPU usage listed by process and overall as a whole;
• ability to change the Master Security Code;
• Recent Programs displayed when the Start menu is pressed;
• a total re-haul of the system's web browser, with a display that looks more like Internet Explorer or other PC web browsers, with the entire web page able to be viewed on a single screen or in segments by zooming in to user-selected areas;
• auto-complete of email addresses entered into the "To:" field;
• ActiveSync Exchange email auto-configuring;
• Wi-Fi status indicator.

Business users will also enjoy the ability to enroll a domain in Settings, allowing for mobile access to various company resources.

On the downside, Windows Mobile 6.1 (like its predecessor) can only be used with a keyboard or a stylus - even the Windows Mobile touch screen phones. Microsoft still hasn't made it so that people can use their mobile OS by simply touching their screens with fingers alone (even though Apple seems already to have mastered it).

Current users of certain Windows Mobile 6 smartphones - like the AT&T Tilt and the HTC Mogul - will be able to upgrade their mobile OS to Windows Mobile 6.1. One of the first new smartphones already bundled with Windows Mobile 6.1 is the WiFi-enabled Motorola Q9.

Devices running on Windows Mobile 6.1 are scheduled to start shipping in May.
